From Taylor Swift to Nicole Ritchie, to your regular fashionista,Yellow Fashion items seems to be all the rage at the moment.Many people opt to don yellow as it is a beautiful color that brightens  the dull,cold Winter look. It is most certainly a difficult colour to pull off,so if not co-ordinated properly it can be a fashion disaster.

Here are some simple guidelines when donning yellow fashion items:
> Always keep it simple,try and use one item of yellow.
> Try and match yellow with neutral colours eg black,brown and beige
> If you feel a yellow top, jumpsuit or dress is overbearing, you can certainly accessorize to brighten up that
   look with bracelets,beanies, hats, scarves and bags.
> Do wear bright lip colors eg pink and red. It compliments the color very well.

Durban Partyyy Takeover!!!!!

The Easter Holidays have finally come to an end , and Wow!!!  What a fabulous weekend it had been with non-stop partying, socialising and family reunions.

Jeremy Abraham of Silverfox Entertainment and Thaher Ally of Unknown Entertainment gave a whole new meaning to Durban's Nightlife by bringing down some of SA's finest DJ's to Durban,creating an explosive atmosphere.

My Epic Journey of Club Culture started on Friday Night as I attended the Godfathers of Funk Party at Cube Nightclub. Wearing an Off the shoulder LBD( Little Black Dress) with a hint of leopard print detail and a matching leopard print clutch, I was ready to paint the town red.This event was also in celebration of Seemal Singh"s birthday(Owner of Cube). The DJ line up was impressive with the likes of Cape Town's hottest Duo Kosta and Ryan from Crazy White Boys,5FM'S DJ Euphonik, DJ Dino Bravo,Mark Stent and 30 other local DJ's.
 
Ryan and Kosta broke it down with their funky mixes and had the crowds dancing non-stop. I had the privilege of meeting and interviewing 'Your Mama's favourite DJ" DINO BRAVO. This versatile DJ was extremely humble and friendly. MARK STENT,the World's strongest DJ,was partying it up, and was kind enough to give me two of his promotional cd's

On the local front I chatted to one of Durban's most popular club DJ's, the very talented DJ Ameeth Shah. Having started as a DJ from a young age, this young man surely knew how to get the Party Started!!! His passion for entertaining crowds,spinning the decks and mixing tracks was obvious.

 Cafe Vacca Matta on Sunday was electrifying.There were long queues of people waiting to get in on the action and burn the dancefloor with the phenomenal SAMA nominated Crazy White Boys. Girls dressed in their sexiest numbers,six-inch stiletto heels with makeup done to perfection, and Guys with their funky hairstyles made for overall viewing pleasure.DJ Presh from Johannesburg also got the crowd breaking it down after Crazy White Boys and maintained that explosive, energetic atmosphere .

Lights,camera, action!!! Yeah it was time to get some snapshots by popular Durban Social Photographer  and socialite, Kevin Hsu. Crazy Kevo as he is known was kept busy with Guys and girls holding their best poses just to get snapped up .
There were many other talented DJ's but unfortunately I had to call it a night and head on home.

Today I profile my interview with India Based Makeup Artist and hairstylist to the celebs Sagar Ahuja who's making waves in the Film and Fashion industry.

The very cute Sagar Ahuja who's based in Delhi, but now working in Mumbai
Loves his work. Since his childhood Sagar loved drawing and making sketches, after school he was to pursue a career in engineering,but his mum, who is a  beautician inspired him to become a makeup artist. Entering the industry wasn't easy for this makeup artist as many told him to leave as he wouldn't make it. Through perseverance and his mum being by his side, he is now one of the leading MUA and Hairstylist in India.

Having worked with Bollywood celebs like Celina Jaitley,Kalki, Mona Singh, Sudeepa Singh,Zaheer Khan(cricketer) and many, many models, his advice for other aspiring MUA would be to keep on pursuing and never give up.He emphasizes that hygiene is really important,updating of kits from time to time and always sanitize before doing makeup. He also believes MUA should share their knowledge,passion and experience.

Sagar says that makeup trends for 2012 include nude colours, but if you like bright colours then orange,burgundy,pink and red lips is the way to go.When I asked Sagar if he would ever like to visit SA, he said that he has never been,but would love to come if an opportunity arises.

When asked what he loves most about his job,he says that he loves when his work is appreciated and loves to make people look and feel great. Sagar hopes and aspires to be a widely recognised MUA. He would also like to cater for the poor by opening up his own studio and offering free courses.

Feature: Boys and their Toys.......

We all know how boys cannot be seperated from their toys..... but in this case shall I say girls and their toys???

Today I preview  Mercedes Benz C63 AMG owner Keshni Chetty who's need for speed and fashionable cars puts her among the Hip and The Fashion Elite.

The 6.2 litre C63 with its V8 aspirated motor is able to compete with the best in the country. From a young age , instead of playing with dolls, her interest in carbon fibred systems, aerodynamics, and drag racing grew. The mother of a 5yr old maintains a balance between being a full time working class mum and  her need for speed.

Her favourite car at the moment has to be the C63 AMG because of its added luxuries, power and modifications to its exhaust, filters,pulleys and software. This Stunning C63 with its 482hp, 585nm Torque and 351kw (power output-wheels) boasts a speed of 12secs flat without diff ratio change over a quarter mile.

Keshni's dream car however has to be the Bugatti Veyron 16.4.

                                       

                                  

I was lucky enough to get a test spin with this stunning ride. Wearing a green dress and sexy black heels, you would think you're on the track of a F1 Grand Prix as she takes off with that sound of its roaring engine. 

This hot mum is definitely a force to be reckoned with on the racetrack!!!!

I decided to post this blog about myself as many of you wanted to know a little more information.

From the catwalks of New York Fashion Week to my favourite pair of Christian Louboutins, I have always
been inspired by all things beautiful and fabulous. I love Feature Writing, Makeup Artistry, Fashion, Image Styling and Burlesque of course!..

I love being around people who are confident, ambitious ,humble and who make for good , interesting conversation.

My favourite item of clothing has to be skinny jeans and my style icons include the very stylish and elegant Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Dita Von Teese and the very eccentric, fun and flirty Nicky Minaj. I shop everywhere and anywhere,from high end fashion boutiques to small end vintage stores. My favourite quote has to be by Yves Saint Laurent" Fashion fades, style is eternal."

OK! So its Tuesday and I just cannot wait for the weekend. As I am sitting in front of my pc, I decided nothing would put a smile to my face more than Gorgeous Men and Gorgeous Clothes. What more can a girl ask for,Ryt?. That spells Milan Fashion Week!!! Yes People! Only the Hottest and Sexiest fashion show in the World.

 GIORGIO ARMANI , one of the most respected designers in the fashion industry, didn't fail to impress as he presented the EMPORIO ARMANI Menswear 2012/2013 Winter collections. EMPORIO ARMANI, aimed at young professionals was nothing short of being sophisticated and sleek. As gorgeous,slender looking models took to the catwalk,everyone waited with baited breath to see what this luxury collection entailed.

Typical Winter theme styles such as sweaters,corduroy,bright knits with colors of blue, black,purple and grey were the order of the day.Not forgetting, the fine cut,lines and tailoring of suits and coats.Accessories included leather bags,gloves and scarves.

The GIORGIO ARMANI BRAND remains to be the forefront of THE FASHION ELITE SOCIETY.
